CT of vessels of the heart is a non-invasive method of diagnosis of the coronary arteries, which allows to evaluate their degree of narrowing, patency and anatomical features. During the study, a picture is taken in the maximum plane, which is then able to reconstruct any projection. Assessment of the aorta, pericardium, myocardium, cavities of the heart and lungs is possible. Strengthening of the method in the absence of complications from surgical cooperation, minimal dosage. The price of a CT scan of the heart in Kiev is 3800 UAH.

Shown for research

  1. • The manifestation of angina
  2. • When patients develop pain of unclear nature
  3. • To evaluate the condition of the artery before surgery
  4. • Assessment of shunt condition
  5. • Suggest similar artery development and evaluation
There are restrictions on procedures. CT coronary angiography is contraindicated for pregnant women and children under 5 years of age, as it is impossible to ensure complete immobility. It is impossible to diagnose people by building heart failure and severe arrhythmia. It is contraindicated to manipulate patients with:
  1. • iodine intolerance;
  2. • Thyroid pathologies;

Diabetes mellitus;

  1. • renal and hepatic failure;
  2. • myeloma.

Preparation for diagnosis

Contrast is used for the procedures, so it is necessary to take into account the level of urea and creatine in the blood. It is possible to attempt rapid analysis before diagnosis or to bring biochemical results that were made no more than 2 weeks before CT. It is impossible to eat 3 hours before the procedure. Before diagnosis, patients are given drugs from beta-blocker groups if the rhythm of the heart looks at 60 beats per minute. If you are taking any medication groups, tell your doctor. If you have CT, ultrasound, or MRI results that do more, also show them for more detailed diagnosis.

Conducting research

The patient lies on his back, he is inserted into the vein through which a contrast agent is injected. The procedure is performed during several cardiac cycles. The catheter is removed 5-10 minutes after the CT scan. The total study time is 40 to 60 minutes. The patient receives the results with copies of the pictured, medical conclusions with peching and decoding. You can learn more about these from the program or by phone by pointing to the site.
